The Salerno Community opened in early 2021. This 80-unit affordable family project includes
one-, two- and three-bedroom units, and features affordable apartments open to those earning up to 80 percent, and as low as 30 percent of area median income, depending on units, qualifications, and special needs. Included are a section of apartments set aside for special situations – 15 units for veterans, 10 for individuals with developmental disabilities and 10 for extremely low-income families at risk of homelessness.

Salerno is the product of a collaboration between our development partner Chelsea Homes, and several funding partners including the City of Irvine, the Irvine Community Land Trust, the County of Orange, the state of California Department of Developmental Services, and the County of Orange Housing Authority/Veterans Administration. Each Salerno unit has a private balcony or patio as well as Energy Star appliances, including in-unit washers and dryers. It offers residents a variety of social services provided by LifeSTEPS, Families Forward, the County of Orange, Momentum and the Veterans Administration. Our leasing agent/property manager ConAm helps us qualify applicants and fill vacancies when they become available.
